Bring your Woodcuts... to the Slaughter

This June I had the pleasure of taking part in 5 person group exhibition in Lower Slaughter Village Hall. Beautiful surroundings for some beautiful art.
Fellow exhibitors:
There were lot's of lovely visitors from around the country and around the world. Over the week it got rather hot, but the village hall was delightfully cool.
Nice chats with customers. One of my cushions went to a cat lover who was worried that his 19 year old cat might not be around when he returned home. (Bit sad) A couple bought two framed prints, they were having a special treat weekend at beautiful The Slaughters Manor House. Like me, they have had a slightly mad Pigeon in their garden at home, hence they chose 'Still Life with Pigeon'. Another lady was celebrating her 60th birthday with a nostalgic Cotswold tour, having lived in Israel for the last 40 years.
Nice chats with fellow exhibitors. Gemma and I have probably crossed paths before - she was an illustrator who's agent Paul Beebee used to bring work into Brann Direct Marketing where I was an art director many moons ago.
Gemma encouraged me to develop my Nosey Neighbour print idea after talking about border terriers and cute dogs. Comparing cat notes with Tara - I was able to introduce her to the useful term 'frog bothering'. I also loved seeing how she makes her ceramic pumpkins from scratch. One of Gemma's former pupils went home with an armful of them to adorn her dining room table, amazing!
Thank you set-up and break-down helpers Stuart and Paul - we just had to visit The Slaughters Country Inn next door to justify parking there.
